Styling Basics for Spring

written by Dana March 7, 2016

The temperatures are finally going to heat up in the New York metropolitan area, so I figured it was only smart to talk about how to wear some basic pieces with an infusion of spring style. The great thing about this outfit is you can easily switch out the shoes and purse. By wearing flats and a tote-bag you are now errand appropriate or you can jazz it up with heels and a fun metallic clutch. That’s the great thing about fashion – own a wardrobe that works for you!

I began the look with this grey draped top from Red Haute Clothing. I really adore this top because it’s a basic neutral done with draping which adds something special. Paired with leggings it’s an easy look. To add some fun, I went for these great sunglasses from Lulu’s. Their sunnies and shoe selection is always on-point and you’re bound to find something you love. Accessories are a great spring re-fresh. With the addition of this cool Mighty Purse clutch that charges your devices on-the-go (yes, I know so amazing) you’re all set for the season. Tassels are all the rage and the perfect finishing touch to this look is a sterling silver monogram tassel necklace by Jane Basch jewelry.
